Fragaria x ananassa ‘Honeoye’ – Junebearing Strawberry – Rosaceae (The Rose Family)

Description Fragaria ‘Honeoye’ has been rated as one of the top varieties of strawberries for over 20 years. Single white flowers with yellow centres appear in early spring followed by large, firm, very sweet red berries which ripen early to mid-season in June. The flavour of the berry is said to be “out of this world”! Plant size can reach 6-8 inches high and 24 inches wide. Junebearers produce the largest, sweetest strawberries over a period of 2-3 weeks. Grow in containers, in the food garden, and as a ground cover. Attracts pollinators.
