Description Musa acuminata ‘Red Dacca’, also known as ‘Red Cuban’, is an ornamental and edible banana prized for its reddish-purple fruit. The red-skinned fruit is sweeter and richer in flavour and plumper and shorter than the common yellow banana. The stunning tropical foliage is large, glossy, and paddle-shaped and may have burgundy mid ribs. The trunks are burgundy-red. Young plants appreciate partial shade.
